Retail Operations Manager – Italy


The Retail Operations Manager, reporting to the Retail Director, will be responsible of the supervision of all the support activities of all the Italian Stores: Cash desk, stocks, maintenance, security and after-sales service. He/she directly contributes to guarantee an impeccable service and optimizes the boutiques results in accordance with the commercial strategy and image of the Company.



  • Manage the internal and external warehouse organization, of the Boutiques in logistics and IT level, forming the Stock Managers and operators about the used software and group policies;
  • Oversee policies, procedures and the operational methodology of comparing cash assets directly with boutiques and Corporate and carrying out specific training to staff concerning it;
  • Operate in collaboration with the Marketing Department and the Operations Department the packaging area by monitoring the quantities and consumption for Italy;
  • Collaborate with the Retail Manager for manage and plan new openings from the design stage, establishing a calendar of activities required to open with the other company functions (Visual Merchandising, Customer Service, Technical office, etc.);
  • Participate, with the function of planning and control, the definition of a maintenance budget based on the history and any new openings;
  • Follow a specific schedule of inventories in Stores approved by the Retail Department and the Administration, after each inventory fill specific reports about it;
  • Manage and coordinate contacts with suppliers in order to optimize costs and improve the work done;
  • Provide and maintain monitored an adequate level of security (es. installation of cameras and anti-shoplifting systems, management of security personnel) for each Boutique;
  • Improve the management system and handling of goods with regard to the Boutique of the reference country.


The ideal candidate outlined above shows the following characteristics:

  • An extensive experience in Retail of at least 5-8 years in the field of Luxury, Fashion or Cosmetics on Back Office functions with a high-value management position;
  • Passionate about the Retail business;
  • Excellent management and organizational skills as well as a real analytical and synthesis spirit
  • Strong leadership, ability to lead and drive performance, involving people in daily challenges;
  • Fluency in English;
  • Excellent organizational and problem solving skills, as well as initiative and orientation to achieve the objectives;
  • Availability to frequent transfers.
  • A natural predisposition to interpersonal relations;
  • A strong service orientation to customer relations care.
